Fortune International Transport (PCN member in Italy) are pleased to report the details of a large asphalt mixing plant being moved from Italy to Oman.

Fortune have transported the over-dimensional pieces from the factory to the loading port of Venice. At Venice, the loading operations are coordinated on-site by Fortune’s expert staff. The project cargo, totalling over 2,000cbm, is secured on board the ‘BSLE Teresa’ for the voyage to Sohar, Oman.

At Sohar, the discharging operations are supervised by PCN member in Oman, Muscat International Shipping & Logistics (MIS). After the completion of the clearing operations, the entire plant will be delivered to the site.

Once mounted and installed, this asphalt mixing plant will be capable of producing up to 320tns of bitumen per hour. Paolo Federici (Managing Director at Fortune International Transport) elaborates; “Over 3,400 similar asphalt mixing plants (produced in Italy) have been installed across the globe with all equipped with the latest generation of core components (all of which are manufactured in Switzerland) including the screens, mixers, filters, dryer drums and burners”. Once completed, the mounted plant will resemble the examples pictured below.
