Italy … to Russia

Last week, Fortune International Transport (member of PCN in Italy) transported a 60tn rotor

The rotor was moved by road with permits and escorts from Italy to Lübeck in Germany where it was transferred onto a MAFI and shipped 1,500km by ferry to St. Petersburg in Russia before continuing by road to the final destination.

The journey totalled 1,400km by road in Europe, 1,500km by sea in the Baltic and 600km from St. Petersburg to the final destination in Russia. The rotor is photographed in the gallery below during the operations.

This is the second movement with the same cargo and route handled by Fortune, a year after the first. Click here to see details of the first shipment. Managing Director at Fortune, Paolo Federici comments; “We have yet another similar but bigger shipment planned for Spring 2018 – stay tuned!”

News from the Project Cargo world

Fortune & FCI Move Compressors from Italy to Abu Dhabi

Italian members, Fortune International Transport have recently moved compressors to Abu Dhabi for the client of French members, France Cargo International (FCI).

FCI have been handling the ongoing project for some time (read previous article) and as this shipment has an origin of Italy, they entrusted Fortune to handle the job.

The 4 heavy and large cases were transported from the factory to Genoa Port on special low-loaders for shipment to Abu Dhabi on special MAFI trailers and flat-rack containers.

Faster is better

Regular traffic of Italian “new” trucks sent to Turkey being handled by PCN members in Italy (FORTUNE) as well as in Turkey (BATI).
Thanks to the agreement to move the cargoes on “UN RORO vessels” departing twice a week from Trieste, the transit time (which for a previous shipment handled from “others” was 30 days with two trans-shipments in the middle … sic!) has been reduced to only 3 days (the departure are every Wednesday and every Saturday)
On arrival Mersin, BATI is arranging quick clearance and trucking two pieces at a time (see pictures too!) for delivery to the final buyer.
This is proving that the high standard service is always winning compared to the lowest price proposal.
Such a winning “idea” is also explained in the FORTUNE blog: CLICK
The present order is for a lot of 70 trucks but … others to come!
Attached some pictures in-taken during loading at Trieste and during unloading (and reloading on truck) at Mersin
And don’t forget: all you need is FORTUNE!

CMX & Fortune Handle Shipment of Tube Manufacturing Mill

CMX Global Logistics have recently handled a project shipment of a tube manufacturing mill with their PCN partners, Fortune International Transport in Italy.

The cargo was moved under LC using 7 x 40’OT (IG) and 4 x 40’FR (OW/OH) as well as one large piece at 41tns which was handled on a LOLO service. The shipment was delivered to Chennai in India from La Spezia, Italy.

The 2 PCN members smoothly collaborated to successfully move the cargo with no issues or problems.

600 tons of drilling pipes shipped to Central America

Paolo Federici
